Surprise Yourself

I’ve been reading Jia Jiang’s new book, Rejection Proof, in anticipation of my fireside chat with him next week on March 25th at 12pm. I am struck by how Jia—who has become an accidental expert on rejection with his 100 Days of Rejection experiment—has tapped into a major life lesson that can encourage us all: When you strive for your dreams, you will be surprised at how support appears. For ten years, I have carried a laminated card with this quote from Joseph Campbell: “Don’t be afraid to follow your bliss, and doors will open where you…

Chat With Mer, Mar. 25: How to Beat Fear and Become Invincible

Do you wonder what you could accomplish if nothing held you back? Two years ago, I had the good fortune to witness the first major speaking engagement for entrepreneur Jia Jiang. I sat transfixed in the 2,000-seat auditorium as this humble, relatable guy talked about a crushing defeat in his life and then what he did next: a 100-day experiment to inoculate himself against the fear of rejection. The results changed his life, and started a movement. I’m thrilled to sit down with Jia on March 25th for a virtual fireside chat to discuss what he learned…

If this is a place where you find…

In addition to pajamas, robes, sweat suits, socks, and other comfy basics, we also presented the cumulative financial donations of over $1,100. This is double what we were able to donate last year! Midway Shelter’s Development Coordinator Lorie Curtis was extremely grateful. Our donations will make a big difference…
