If you answered yes to all of the above, you may be a great fit for a small-group experience: the Job Search Support Group.
In the group, facilitated by an experience career consultant, we discuss mindset, readiness, successes, and failures encountered by group members during their job search. We provide the support structure to allow individuals to work through their challenges. We present alternate viewpoints and challenge group members to think in ways they may not be used to. In addition, we present information on specific topics pertinent to the needs of the group which may include:
- practicing networking and developing your support structure
- making a daily plan of action and getting things done
- overcoming obstacles that get in your way
- eliminating beliefs that impede your progress
Note: This is not a class; it is a supportive forum that meets in-person on a weekly basis to provide encouragement, feedback, and accountability as you progress through an active job search.
You must have reached a certain point in your job search to be eligible to hold one of the seats in the group, including developing your personal branding, pinpointed your ideal job, and be actively networking to acquire it.
The format is as follows for this exciting program:
- 90-minute sessions held weekly at our offices in Alameda, CA.
- Sessions scheduled the first four Wednesdays of every month from 10am to 11:30am PT
- There are minimum requirements to join this program
- A monthly membership fee is charged, payable at the beginning of the month
- There is a small, one-time registration fee to join the program to cover administrative expenses

Louise has a diverse background in business, healthcare, academia, religious, nonprofit, corporate, union, civic, entrepreneurial, and start-up organizations.
She holds a master’s degree in counseling, with specialized training and expertise in addressing health challenges and disabilities. She has coached people of all ages and at all stages of life in facing their fears, getting unstuck, and moving forward. She enjoys working with new graduates as well as mid- and late-career professionals.
Louise knows about and teaches courage, transformation, and leadership development. She brings a 360-degree view of the world of work to her career consulting owing in part to her varied positions, such as: hiring manager, business developer, human resources trainer, management consultant, vice president, and entrepreneur.
She stays current with the marketplace by engaging in a variety of activities, whether as a recruiter, business group leader, or executive team building facilitator.
