Job Search Consultation
For those considering a career change, some of the biggest challenges include the basics of a successful job search: evolving your positioning, discovering organizations that could be a good fit, navigating the Internet to look at the job market, developing meaningful 1:1 networking connections with influential people, and applying for jobs.
This package focuses on knowledge transfer – giving you the tools to conduct a smart, targeted job search while positioning yourself effectively. You work with an experienced consultant with a deep background in conducting a successful job search.
With this package you receive hands-on consultation including:
- an initial session to assess your objectives, positioning concerns, gaps and barriers to success. As part of this discussion you educate the career consultant about what you are looking for and how you are currently positioning yourself;
- the consultant collaborates with you to prepare a list of five companies that are a potential good match for you, based on your stated career interests and goals (these companies may, or may not, have current openings), a strong value add for creating a funnel to chart a path for the right roles.
- discussion about how to develop your elevator pitch for networking, and
- an in-depth hands-on walk through the job search process, showing you how to expand your search to identify additional companies to consider, assess where you may fit within an organization, create connections and develop relationships through informational interviews.
You’ll have regular accountability check-ins to monitor your job search progress, offer guidance, and set goals.
You’ll walk away with a roadmap for an effective job search!

The career consultant’s role in this package is not to proactively identify positions to apply for or to facilitate introductions; rather, the consultant will teach you how to identify and approach certain types of companies and individuals so that you can make the connections yourself or through your network.

Celia has a successful track record of providing contract recruitment, executive search, and consulting to a range of global and multinational clients and emerging start-ups. She is skilled at working across multiple industries, including: software/technology, Internet, consumer products, e-commerce, banking/financial services, consulting, and sustainability-related industries.
Before starting her business in 1996, Celia spent over 11 years in human resources, recruiting, and career development. She was a staffing manager for a prominent global banking institution, and has held recruitment roles for other industries, including: healthcare, retail, finance, and technology. Her consultancy background includes career transition services and managing job development functions for a major outplacement firm and for nonprofit organizations. Celia holds a Masters of Arts in Human Resources Management.

Deborah is a career development expert who guides professionals to find new jobs, deal with challenges in the workplace, and perform at their best. She has helped clients get out of ruts, beat the competition (of 50 people or more) to land a job, find work after being unemployed for over a year, and overcome difficult and perplexing work situations to become healthy and happy in their work.
Before she became a full-time coach, Deborah spent 12 years running sales and marketing programs for Fortune 500 and technology companies. A graduate of Coach University’s Business & Life Coaches Program, she holds an AAS degree in Data Processing from QCC, a BBA in Marketing from Hofstra University, and a Certificate in Financial Planning from New York University. She holds the designation of Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation and is a Certified Wellness Coach (CWC).
