Adopt a Family This Christmas

We are excited to announce that our drive is underway and adoptions for our 2017 drive are now open! Click here to make your selection. Now in our fifth year, this family-friendly holiday drive helps clothe the women and children residents of Alameda’s Midway Shelter, their safe house, and the San Leandro Shelter with new, cozy jammies, socks, and underthings to open on Christmas Day. This year’s party culminating the drive will be held on Wednesday, December 6th, 2017 in the early evening. Christmas: The Light and Dark

I am sitting in the quiet of Christmas Eve morning, rain spattering on the roof, the dog sighing in his sleep, watching the lights blinking on the Christmas tree as I drink my tea and wipe sleep from my eyes. I’m feeling content. I love this moment of the day. Getting into the Christmas Spirit: Jammie Party Recap
