10 Steps to Move Past Self-Imposed Limitations (Part I)

Are you up against something that makes you feel stuck and like you will never be able to conquer it? I recently wrote an article about a stuck place I moved through, and it seems to have struck a chord with many. I thought I would reverse-engineer how I moved past the challenge and share the steps, so you can consider applying the strategies that resonate with you. 1. Move your body. Let’s Play!

Play is as important to adults as it is to children.  If you hang around my blog much, you’ll soon start to notice how important the idea of play is—whether child or corporate executive, we all must play to tap into our deepest creative well.  As adults, when we have a project or business that we are passionate about, it’s easy to become totally engrossed in our work. I was so disappointed not to make the cut.   I still love to dance, so I’m thrilled to have discovered my new favorite class at the gym, Dance Boogie.   It’s awesome because: It’s exercise but doesn’t feel like it. The hour is up before I know it! The teacher pairs her instruction with fantastic music (Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas). We learn dance…
