I still can’t believe he said yes!

Chris Guillebeau is one of my heroes. I’ve spent the last few years being inspired by him from afar – whether reading his books The $100 Startup or The Art of Non-Conformity, following his blog, or sitting in the 3000-person audience at his annual World Domination Summit, where he encourages attendees to “live an unconventional life in a conventional world.”

An annual pilgrimage I make to Portland, WDS is an important part of my emotional and spiritual recharging every year.

What impresses me about Chris is how he galvanizes people to action through the way he lives his life, the choices he makes, and the people he gathers around him.

An obvious introvert, he still manages to connect with thousands of people to make them feel heard, validated and powerful, whether he be addressing a large crowd or an intimate group at a book signing….And did I mention that he has visited every country in the world, a quest he finished I think by the time he had turned 35? The guy is amazing.

And now, he is sitting down with me to discuss his forthcoming book, Born for This: How to Find the Work You Were Meant to Do. I’m about to receive the galley for the book and I cannot wait to get my hands on it and learn more from this master of service, community-building and adventure.
