hands holding fall leaves

This has been a tumultuous year for many.

In this time of uncertainty, I’m noticing that it is also a time of personal galvanization, a time of realizing that life is not a dress rehearsal.

That engaging with life, rather than watching it pass us by, is essential now.

For ourselves, for our children, for our world.

I’m watching people wake up all around me, renewing commitments and taking action in ways that they had been avoiding or resisting, to finally break through barriers that have held them back from creating and living the life they want.

Personally, overcoming obstacles is coming in the forms of quitting caffeine and decluttering my home to get rid of the past and prepare for the new.

Regardless of what personal obstacles you face in your life and work that block you from realizing your dreams, if you are feeling a stirring in your heart to finally overcome them, take heart and be thankful.

Be thankful that you are alive, and with every new day have the opportunity to start again, to take action, to build community and support around you to make the difference you want in the world.

In this time of gratitude, give thanks that you have another day to hug your loved ones, create memories with them and take a much deserved rest.

Take a rest that can launch you into a life of intention…one step at a time.

Regardless of what is going on around you, you have the power to influence how you live your life, and how you choose to show up.

This Thanksgiving, remember, having that choice is something to be truly thankful for.
